A Direct AC SF train between New Delhi and PUNE may be started in the night around 21-00 hrs ( 09-00PM) covering the distance between them in 22 hrs.
There is NO DIRECT train for PUNE from New Delhi in the NIGHT and extremely difficult for SENIOR CITIZENS /OLD AGE TO TRAVEL via Mumbai.

New Delhi must be around 9-00PM because there is NO DIRECT train for Pune in the night. The distance between New Delhi and Pune is 1594 kms (via Central railway-) The train needs to be run via Central railway along the following route. New DelhiAgra CnttJhansiBhopal KhandwaJalgaonManmadKopargaonAhmednagarDaundPune. (total distance 1594 kms)

At present all express /mail trains are hauled by WAP-7 engines which can run at maximum speed of 120-130 kms per hour. If this proposed train is started between New Delhi and Pune, it can cover the distance of 1594 kms in 22 hrs at speed of 75 kms per hours. (Rajdhani Express train speed is 90 kms per hour)

Its high time railways start a train in the night from New Delhi to Pune.

The departure time from Pune may be in the afternoon -say around 11-30 am because there is NO TRAIN in afternoon from Pune to New Delhi along above Central Railway route. (Duronto runs via Western railway-twice a week only)

A AC-EXPRESS between PUNE and GORAKHPUR- may be started on daily basis. Reason is that at present there is one train weekly to Gorakhpur and getting reservation in it is very difficult. Other two trains are upto Lucknow and thereafter one need to change stations. The trains ot Lucknow are also twice a week.
Senior citizens and other age old persona/pasengers are finding difficult to ttarvel to Gorakhpur because of weekly train. Besides no direct air flight from Pune to Gorakhpur, which is complicating the matter.
