Since no one has replied to my question...i decided to do the analysis and report based on my observation for 2 days at sealdah station. First of all, there is no BE or AE coach attached to the train as pointed in the train board by some post. On a daily basis RAC upto 50 gets confirmed. Waitlisted tickets if below 100 have a chance of confirmation. If you have a waitlisted ticket beyond 100, please try the tatkal or premium tatkal optiob when travelling on this train. As this is the second Rajdhani for Kolkata, maximum preference is for the Howrah Rajdhani. So chance of getting a non confirmed ticket converted to confirm is high.

If I have two RAC tickets say RAC 19 and RAC 20, does it mean two separate seats will be allocated to me at the time of charting?

Every one knows that dhn is under rlwl quota for 12301. I just want to ask 1 question
Suppoe after chart preparation of train (12301) it has seats avl in current booking which do not get filled upto train departure. Now the seats will remain vacant.
The next stop is dhn under rlwl and has quite long waiting list. Now my question is that whether this vacant seat (ex-hwh) can be utilized by dhn to clear the wl or dhn can allot seat only to the quota it has been given...

Is it true that if a person having a ticket booked 3-4 months in advance having a Waitlist of more than 100 guarantee a confirmed berth and seat at the time of chart preparation for 12301 Howrah- NDLS Rajdhani Express? I see this happening on a daily basis. Waitlist upto WL150 and even Tatkal waitlist upto CK WL 20 are getting confirmed seats and berths in Howarah Delhi Rajdhani!!! How is the CRIS software designed and how is the booking done with this sort of algorithm? Really curious about the business logic and application level algorithm used in the ticketing software! Any help in this regard or pointers will be very useful.
