In the case of those passengers whose surnames are big like mine, the entire surnames do not appear on the reservation chart because only 15 letters or so of a passenger's name can be accommodated in the reservation chart . In that case the TTEs cannot verify the the full names of passengers having long surnames while checking them with their ID card. I think the chart should be made large enough to accommodate the entire surname of each and every passenger. What is your opinion?

Thats the problem some passengers were facing these days. I will share my experience with all of you regarding this.
I used to travel between Hyderabad and Banglore, once I chosen 12785 and booked a Tatkal Confirmed berth in sleeper class. At the time of booking I entered my PAN number for ID details and in that card my name shows as 'DAVID MATHEWS BEN'.In PAN card its your wish to make your name look alike. Where the surname will be after the first name. Before the rule of ID check for online booking, whenever I enter my full name in the PRS form which is ' BEN DAVID MATHEWS', the clerk shorts it as 'B.D.MATHEWS' and the same...

Its not mandatory to enter the full name. There will be some technical aspects to display the full name in the charts. You can see majority names are shorted to fit in the chart uniformly. But the TTE's should understand, and never create problem to the passengers. As they are showing the photo identity proof along with the name on it.

I didnt took the Ratnachal express, I dont know about it. But Satavahana and Pinakini deserves the same rank. One is interstate express and the other one connects the capital city from the business capital.

Then its a good move by SCR to experiment this stop. It helps the Southern AP people to use this stop and to the people who visits Tirupati, as it is good pilgrimage center.

Actually the tickets which are booked through Current Resrvation Counter wont be included in any chart. When the TTE checks the ticket, then he manually enters the name and PNR into the chart, thus he can come to know which berths/seats were filled under current reservation and which were left unfilled.
