ErArani^~ 9270 blog postsAs a part of my August tour, I am planning to have a tour from Hassan to Udupi/ Mangalore by this train. Actually I want to witness the beauty of Sakleshpur-Subrahamanya Road & related ghat sections. Now my question is that, As a single passenger with all my luggage (including laptop & other valuables), is it safe to to travel in 2S ? As there may be safety issues even after going toilet:) Now to resolve this issue, if I travel in CC, then I may be deprived partly to enjoy the nature. So, what do you people suggest ? Another thing is that, should I carry lunch with me ?

Sir u can travel in this without any hessitate, plz carry u r lunch from Hassan itself if u r boarding from Hassan orelse u will get it in sakaleshpur Stn also but dnt expect variety & tasty food at there. In subramany stn u can some snacks & coffee.

If u wanted enjoy the scenic then 2s, CC will be more comfortable & safety which u have concern about u r luaggage ... In CC also u can get a good view from Door if its k for u.

Hi frnd's one of my frnd said me the HASSAN- BANGALORE new line is completed till Hirisave So there is a plan to extend MYS - Shravanabelogola train to till Hirisave, so any one can give more info on this & how much it may take to lay track from Hirisave to Nelamangala.

But when this full strecth gets complete Bharadwaj sir, since my native is Hassan am eager to travel in this route... But no idea when this will become a true?
Mr BG sir, any idea still how many years we need keep this hopes? If this project wil move on this speed how much time it may take to see a train travelling in this route?

according to you hassan is really worth of getting long route trains or is it not required to connect to any other states?

i hope u r very known about hassan, tell me one thing u would have seen buses travelling from hassan to bangalore its huge. what my opinion is for an example: if SBC - TPTY is extended till hassan u will get an extra train to hassan where u can use this train from SBC to HAS like our MYS strecth people are using ( sleeper coaches will be used as Unreserved).

That's rit.. but when i use to travel in MAQ-YPR intercity which use to arrive hassan around 2.30pm before extension to KARWAR, the patronage wasexcellent from hassan, after the extn now no one is willing to board this train due late arrival & huge slack time.
How this HMRDA will work, whether its a commity or what. If Mr Sadananda gowda is ready to give more trains between MAQ-SBC then how this useless HMRDA will work, will they allow or is that requires any approval?

Absolutely rit.. even am from hassan i dnt know why hassan is not where it should be. 1 point it may be bcoz of dirty politics where govt's are not showing interest to utilize its resources in hassan & moreover its surrounded by agricultural activities.
i have seen so many railway projects in other states are completing it very quickly if u compare to karnataka but y not in KA?
