CIC section (under Dhanbad division) of ECR has seen apathy of railways since very beginning. CORONA lockdown provided some space/time to rail authorities to enhance and upgrade the railway service and facilities at the stations of CIC section. Railway byepass constructed outside Garhwa road junction is in action since December 2021. As of now, due to byepass on surface, the traffic from Sone Nagar side to Garhwa town has to interfere the traffic (freight trains) coming from Garhwa road to Sone Nagar. This results in delay in trains at Garhwa Road junction, Garhwa Link cabin and Sigsigi trio stations.
Sigisigi station is the next station after Garhwa Road junction while going towrds Sone Nagar.

Garhwa Bypass Update.
GHD to GHQ is single line as of now, DL is till Koel Bridge . Lines from GHD to GHQ will be double and also by-pass will be double line and Hence Diamond crossing will be made near GHD . Double bypass clearly indicate traffic rise from SGRL-CPU towards DOS through bypass and vice-versa.

no as of now. Koel river ke us paar koi linking nahi hai traffic ko up to down ya down to up track par jane ke lie. So I think, nadi ke is taraf ek diamond crossing banana hee parega. currently, both tracks from Koel bridges to GHQ station are single line in their respect.
Bed work for Garhwa road junction rail over rail is in progress. 4th rail bridge is being constructed on Bhelwa river outside Garhwa road junction for rail over rail ( second byepass rail line) for rail traffic from Sigsigi to Garhwa town. I have created a video that shows the ongoing work. Same can be watched at

Less number of passenger trains in a rail route doesn't declare the route as underutilized. Railways have enough freight trains to run on any rail route.
If you talk about Ranchi Tori rail route, it is the shortest route for freight trains from Ranchi to Mughalsarai side.
