आने-जाने वाले यात्रियों को बिजली से दौड़ने वाली ट्रेन की सुविधा मिलेगी। रेलवे की योजना के अनुसार रेलवे की ओर से रेवाड़ी से रोहतक, गोहाना व पानीपत से जींद तक इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन बिछाने का काम किया जा रहा है। इस लाइन पर इलेक्ट्रिकरण के कार्य में लगभग 70 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए जाएंगे। अकेले पानीपत रोहतक लाइन के इलेक्ट्रिकरण के कार्य में करीब 38 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए जाएंगे। अब तक रोहतक-पानीपत-जींद रूट पर चलने वाले यात्रियों को डीजल इंजन से चलने वाली ट्रेन में सफर करना पड़ रहा है। रेलवे ने रोहतक से वाया पानीपत जींद तक बिजली लाइन बिछाने के लिए गुरुग्राम की केईसी इंटनेशनल कंपनी को दिसंबर 2017 ठेका दिया था। निर्माण कार्य पूरा करने का लक्ष्य मार्च 2019 मार्च तय किया गया है।
210 किलोमीटर लंबे एरिया में लगेंगे 4 हजार खंभे
रेलवे की ओर से रेवाड़ी से रोहतक, गोहाना व पानीपत से जींद तक इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन बिछाने का काम किया जा रहा है। ऐसे में यह लगभग 210 किलोमीटर लंबा एरिया है। इसमें प्रति किलोमीटर के हिसाब से लगभग 20 बिजली के खंभे लगाए जाएगें। इस तरह इस लाइन पर बिजली के लगभग 4 हजार खंभे लगेंगे। अकेले पानीपत-जींद रेलमार्ग पर 1400 खंभे लगाए जाएंगे। इनमें 1170 खंभे सिंगल लगेंगे जबकि 230 खंभे स्टेशनों पर डबल लगेंगे। इलेक्ट्रिक खंभे लगाने व वायरिंग का कार्य 70 प्रतिशत तक पूर्ण हो चुका है।
जींद-पानीपत-रोहतक ट्रैक पर दौड़ती है डीजल इंजन ट्रेन
जींद-पानीपत-रोहतक रेलवे ट्रैक पर यात्रियों को अब तक डीजल इंजन से चलने वाली ट्रेन में सफर करना पड़ रहा है। जींद-पानीपत ट्रैक पर 6 तथा पानीपत-रोहतक ट्रैक पर 16 ट्रेनों का आवागमन होता है। पानीपत-जींद ट्रैक पर जींद-पानीपत-रोहतक पैसेंजर ट्रेन के अप व डाऊन में 6 फेरे लगते हैं। वहीं पानीपत-रोहतक रेलवे लाइन पर फिलहाल रोहतक-चंडीगढ़ गरीब रथ, जींद-पानीपत-रोहतक पैसेंजर ट्रेन, भिवानी-पानीपत मेल, बीकानेर-हावड़ा एक्सप्रेस, रोहतक पानीपत पैसेंजर ट्रेनें शामिल हैं जो डीजल इंजन से ही चलती हैं। इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन बिछाए जाने के बाद जींद-पानीपत-रोहतक रेलवे ट्रैक पर इलेक्ट्रिक ट्रेनें दौड़ने लगेंगी।
समय की होगी बचत
इलेक्ट्रिक ट्रेन चलने से यात्रियों के समय की भी बचत होगी। अब तक डीजल इंजन से चलने वाली ट्रेन में पानीपत से जींद तक जाने में लगभग दो घंटे 10 मिनट का समय लगता है। वहीं पानीपत से रोहतक जाने में पैसेंजर ट्रेन में कम से कम 2 घंटे का समय लगता है। जबकि इलेक्ट्रिक ट्रेन चलने से लगभग एक घंटे की बचत होगी।
प्रतिदिन करीब 14 हजार लोगों को मिलेगा फायदा
जींद-पानीपत-रोहतक लाइन पर इलेक्ट्रिक ट्रेन शुरू होने से इस रूट के करीब 14 हजार यात्रियों को प्रतिदिन फायदा होगा। पानीपत से जींद 14 तथा पानीपत से रोहतक 11 रेलवे स्टेशन हैं जिनसे प्रतिदिन हजारों यात्रियों का आवागमन होता है। इन स्टेशनों से आसपास के हजारों लोग प्रतिदिन पानीपत के विभिन्न उद्योगों में काम करने आते हैं। इसके अलावा दिल्ली, सोनीपत, करनाल, कुरुक्षेत्र,अंबाला, चंडीगढ़ आने-जाने के लिए भी इस मार्ग के लोगों का पानीपत पहुंचने का प्रमुख जरिया है।
इलेक्ट्रिकरण का कार्य लगभग 70 प्रतिशत पूर्ण : कपूर
पानीपत से रोहतक तथा पानीपत से जींद तक बिजली की इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन लगाने का काम लगभग 70 प्रतिशत पूरा हो चुका है। खंभे लगाने व इलेक्ट्रिक वायर लगाने का कार्य किया जा रहा है। इस कार्य में लगभग 70 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए जाएंगे। इलेक्ट्रिक लाइन बिछाने का ठेका गुरुग्राम की केइसी कंपनी को दिया गया था। इस कार्य को पूरा करने के लिए मार्च 2019 तक का समय निर्धारित किया गया है। इस ट्रैक पर इलैक्ट्रिक ट्रेन चलने की सुविधा मिलने के बाद ट्रेनों की संख्या बढने की भी संभावना है।

feasibility study for the corridor, the details of which were shared with FE Online, has been done by France’s Systra. “The feasibility study report of high-speed rail corridor between Delhi-Chandigarh-Amritsar has been submitted to the Ministry of Railways in 2016. The report has been accepted by the Ministry of Railways and is currently under consideration,” the official said.
The distance between Delhi to Chandigarh – 258 kms – will be covered in 1 hour and 12 minutes. A base fare of Rs 4.5 per kilometre has been recommended at the 2015 price level, the official said. This means that for the Delhi-Amritsar trip, you will have to shell out a minimum of Rs 2061 (4.5*458). On the other hand, for the Delhi-Chandigarh journey, you will have to spend a minimum of Rs 1161. The minimum Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi fare is Rs 890, while the Delhi-Chandigarh Shatabdi fare is approximately Rs 650. A random check on online portals by FE Online shows that a Delhi-Amritsar flight takes over an hour at an average of just over Rs 2,000. The Delhi to Chandigarh flight takes similar time with fares around Rs 2,000.
The total project cost at a 2015 price level has been estimated at Rs 61,412 crore. The project should take anywhere between 6 to 8 years to complete. The study expects the bullet train to start operations by 2025. However, the Ministry of Railways will take a final call on the implementation of the project and its finer aspects once the studies for all other high-speed rail corridors are completed.
