I really wonder what even made BJP think that a Bhojpuri movie actor will win a seat from Bengal. Infact as per the recent buzz, after withdrawal of Pawan Singh's candidature, BJP is going to field another Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh from Asansol. Bhojpuri movie industry is something that is looked down upon by the Bengalis. I wonder if BJP really wants to win seats from Bengal. They already have been tagged as Hindi belt's party by TMC for which they lost badly in 2021 elections. And now they are now just solidifying their image of being a non-bengali party by fielding Bhojpuri candidates from Bengal.

I don't think it's that tough. Asn-Puri via Adra can be easily done within 8hrs. Kyq Ypr Ac exp covers Asansol-Khurda Road stretch in 7hr 45mins with an avg of 72kmph. Since it's a VB, it will definately have lesser halt and a bit faster TT. So the whole Asn-Puri stretch via Adra can be covered within 8hrs.
Unnecessarily diverting it via Bwn-Dkae section will increase the distance by 100kms. So that won't reduce the journey time as such

If the Asn-Bsb VB runs via GC, then I don't think it would be able to fetch much passengers. Honestly Asansol and Dhanbad together won't be able to fill up a whole VB for Varanasi.
Rather Asn-Bsb VB should run via Patna. Asansol - Patna section has a pretty good demand and can ensure a steady flow of passengers. Infact Indigo is recently launching direct flights between Andal and Patna after sensing the high demand of this sector. Railways should also try to cash in on that demand.

Mostly yes but need to see if it's a reserved one like VB or unreserved train. If it's a complete reserve train then am a bit sceptical about the AZ one

Agree
Passengers from Katwa and Azimganj have a lackadaisical attitude towards reserved trains. It's mainly Nabadwip and Khagraghat that provides descent reserved passengers in Bdc-AZ section. Khagraghat may provide some descent patronage as it may act as a substitute to the overburdened Bhagirathi exp but Nabadwip already has too many options for Kolkata.
And moreover, the BAK loop along with the Lalgola route as a whole mainly have UR passengers who prefer to travel in minimum fare. That's why when some passenger trains were converted into exp violent protests took place in both these routes. Infact in the Lalgola route, stones were also pelted in trains by a certain community.
If

it turns out to be a UR train, then definately there are chances of this train getting quite popular among the passengers.

As per recent reports, it was Smvb Howrah Yesvantpur exp which first derailed. 3 coaches of Yesvantpur exp derailed and fell on the up track. Chennai bound Coromandal exp then collided with those coaches at a speed of 130kmph and 20 coaches of Coromandal exp derailed and collided with a freight that was standing on the adjacent loop line.
