Nothing like that. I can book from Dadar to CSTM which is just 9 kms.

which train covers the longest distance in its up & down journey in a day?
If your question is up and down "together", then it may be NDLS-Bhopal shatabdi.. covers over 1400 kms in up and down journey in a single day.
If you are talking of 1 direction only, then 04012 Nizamuddin Shirdi exp covers 1360 kms in one day between start and end station alone.

Still it has only 1 stop in Maharashtra and 2 stops in Gujrat.Once again it is not Gujrat Skr.
It will be better to divert this train and run from CR and introduce stops like Igatpuri, Nasik, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, etc.

The simplest solution is remove the state names of all Sampark Krantis, and allow them to serve all passengers on a logical route. So Bandra to NZM Sampark Kranti can serve Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara passengers; Bangalore to NZM Sampark Kranti can serve Miraj, Pune passengers; while Nagpur can be served by some other Sampark Kranti. Isnt this simple rather than making the train cover illogically longer distances? And furthermore when Indian Railways run across states, why attach a single state name or give priority in a train for a single train? Let us run it as a train of United India.

I know the reason behind introducing the Sampark Krantis. But if its only the "name" that is creating constraint in serving passengers, then better change the "name", but ensure that the passengers are served. To extend the concept further, if many of the Durantos are running empty, then change their name and give them stoppages. After all why should we bear the losses incurred by them when there are passengers at intermediate stations.

why for this train while booking online chennai to salem or erode always shows not available is this train running or not

Its a booking restriction. If you still desire to travel by this train, book till a station for which booking is given and get down at station of your choice (earlier).
