The gate is closed for approximately 15-20 minutes every 1 hour, as over 15 passenger trains and 40 freight trains pass through the route daily. This construction is deemed crucial as the railway department plans to increase train frequency following the addition of a third line between Patratu, Rai, and Tori stations.
