No No. The reason of accident was not that there is lack of maintenance in Chord line. Actually these Chord line bound trains leave from PF8-14 and Poorva leaves from 8 and all these 7 lines merge into 3 at HWH outer and at Liluah RRI it merges to 1 because of DualBG at Bally station. So, poorva had to switch 3 tracks back to back and if you see the switch there you would be amazed to see such complected
interlocking which is the largest of ER and due to Human error the incident happened. High concentration is needed to execute each and every switch. This was the reason. Tracks are well and good to have 150 Kmph speed
