For the first time, Kottayam to be converted in to a terminus for long hauling trains. Right now there is no Long Haul trains/Reservation Trains Originate or Terminate at Kottayam. Only 2 Unreserved Express and few Passenger service operated from Kottayam.

ALLP pit lines will be decommissioned soon for the double line proposed alignment. That is the reason for extending Dhanbad Express to kcvl. All other passenger trains' PM are shifted to other yards.
Ohh Thats news.So we can xpect extension of allp trains towards Tvc right?Bro can a pitline(similar to Allp) be built on the old tunnel alignment stretch?
