Travelled in this train from KCG to YPR on 01/05/18. The loco in lead was KJM WDP-4D 405XX series. There is Pay & Use AC Waiting hall at PF#1 at KCG(Falaknuma side) and they charge Rs 30/hour. There is no IRCTC water vending machine at PF1 while on PF#2, it is there. For lunch, only lemon rice(Rs 19) is available on PF#1. Rest serve only chips, frooti, water bottle, cold drinks, etc. There is one CCD shop for junk food lovers at PF1. There is one Railway Museum which charge 10 Rs and every railfan must visit it.

AdityaUnnao 23 blog postsIf you want your favourite seat in General Class of Lucknow Varanasi Shuttle Superfast then follow my trick. This trick is used by most of the daily and experienced travellers and newbies are not familiar with it. From Lucknow, this train departs at 6:00 PM and usually the boarding starts after 5:15 PM. But this train is either already standing at the run-through line between plateforms or at the yard towards Dilkusha Cabin. You can sneak into the train when the train is standing there. Some gates are usually already opened and you can enter into that coach before the train actually enters the plateform. But you have to come 2 hour early to do this trickЁЯШЬ

A good station to do railfaining. Just take any pune to daund bound passengers and its second halt from pune. Its bit far away from hadapsar pmpml bus stand. It has good amenities like drinking water and a small snacks center also. The amanora city mall and magarpatta city is hardly 1 km away from station. But doing photography at the station premises is bit risky as some times rpf roam here around and even the railway employees sometime interfere you for doing photography or recording.
So just walk a few 100-200m towards daund side and after the overhead bridge, comes a curve where you can stay for doing photography and recording. This area is bit silent and no crowd. Major trains...

The seats of double decker are not very comfortable. Luggage space is poor in case of upper and lower decks . Same holds true for legroom. The coach feels cramped up and suffocating in case all seats are booked (rare , but have unfortunately experienced the scenario). A normal LHB Chair Car is much better .
The rake is a mix of Uday and double decker livery coaches . The windows on the lower deck in old DD coaches were full of scratches. Food trays were loose and dirty .

Only pillows and white sheets are provided by default in 1A. Blanket wasn't provided last time I traveled. Same goes for hand towels as well. Maybe one would need to specifically request the coach attendant for them.
