For every 20 MP constituency a zone proposed then Tamilnadu and Pondy with 40 MP constituency also should have 2 Railway Zones for the benefit of the people.Once TRICHY served as Headquarters for the entire Southern region during British Rule.So we need Tiruchy as a separate South Coast Zone ( SCoR ) for Tamilnadu coastal and southern districts and Pondy UT.

AP has 24 MPs. Any ways zones are not based on MP's. If that's the case odisha have 21 seats only. With your theory UP should have minimum 4 zones. Apply some logic , why you coming in between. Any ways trichy zone never forms.

SR always treated Step-Motherly treatment to Madurai and Trichy Divisions over Trivandrum and Palakkat Divisions in Kerala.New Salem division is still in the influence of the Un-Divided Palakkat Division.
