"Probably, a big SURPRISE on offer, or is it?"
While waiting to board 22309 HWH-NJP AC Express, what I came across was something startling. A "Brand New" shining "ECR-Based Humsafar" Rake with a glowing Patratu (PTRU) WDG4D #70765 comes for a brief couple of minutes halt at AUB while heading towards NJP. Managed to frame some snaps of this Rake. The Rake was overtaken by 22309 (on board) at Mangurjan (MXJ), just after AUB...
Both the Locomotive and the Rake were of ECR and they were complimenting each other in terms of charming...

To be honest, I have had tweeted on many occasions, regarding introduction of a Kolkata-bound train via Bagdogra (since Paharia doesn't halt between NJP-KNE). Finally, really happy to witness that hardwork finally paid off, temporarily even thoughЁЯШД

Both Paharia and NJP-MAS runs via BORA, just for decongesting the main route. But technically, it does no good. What I genuinely feel, if a particular train is running via a particular section, that section should get the benefits out of it. But sadly, due to the negligence of the system, neither of these trains halt at BORA, TKG and AUB (supposedly required halts).
Darjeeling Mail doesn't run via SGUJ. It runs via conventional route (AUB-RNI-NJP)
