i use nokia e71 -with its inbuilt browser(nokia )
all the regular sites works very well ,
in nokia even irtc regular (ie desktop verion) site (www.irctc.co.in/) works for cancellation and for looking status etc,
but when i try to book tickets , some times it is taking more time , resulting in debiting of money for failed tickets...

yes, the govt site works very well on mobile , for pnr inquiry & seat availabity etc , consumes very less mb data,
should this website is made compatible to mobile browsing , really good news

thank you for giving some information , usually people do not show much interest in replying these complex questions
i can redesign the coaches interior and carry 90 passengers with more comfort in ii class sleeper instead of the present 72 berths. if this is implemented there will be 25 % increase in the carrying capacity of the ii sleeper coaches and imagine the increase in the excess number of persons traveling . wait listing may the thing of the past. the uncomfortable side berths which are getting removed is not the solution i have invented.
