This is a wonderful site....
If anybody could tell me were to find , how much quota a particular junction has...... if i am travelling from Delhi to Pune then how much seats are alloted to the origin stations and how much seats are alloted to the stations between the origin stations for example how much seats are alloted to Jhansi and after what no. of seats it will be waitlisted.

Please refer to my reply to you on 24th Aug. at 06:39 PM under the train head "Goa Express 2780", which was as follows:
"...When ever you need to know the quota, see 'Seat Availability' for the 91st day before before 8:00 AM. This applies for the stations from where the train departs during the same Calendar day on which it orginates. If the train departs on the 2nd day, look for 92nd day and so on...."

However, in some exceptional cases it is noticed that the total number of available seats on the 91st day is actually less than the seat availability in the next month or so. This would indicate that the quota of seats goes up and down based on peak season, etc.
Allowing for this kind of occasional error, this figure might give one at least an approximate idea of total train capacity. Please review this feature and provide feedback on accuracy and so forth.

As an example, /train/seats/6876 is the Rajasthan Sampark Kranti. End-to-end seat capacity is shown as the first row. Even on the 91st day early morning, the seat availabilities are odd (reflecting the general quota allocations). A total 6 seats are available on AC-2 tier. Would it be safe to presume that there is 1 full AC-2 tier coach available on this train? All bloggers' views on this topic are very welcome.
