Four Kerala trains to run faster
Here comes good news for railway passengers hailing from southern districts.The running time of few trains will be reduced by 15 to 55 minutes, as the Thiruvananthapuram railway division authorities successfully upgraded the signalling system in the Kollam-Kanyakumari section.
The Bangalore City-Kanyakumari Express (train no. 16526) leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at regular time of 3.45 pm will reach Kanyakumari at 6.05 pm i.e. 55 minutes early than the previous schedule from November 30 onwards.

more... Kanyakumari - Kollam MEMU (train no. 66305) will start from Kanyakumari at 4 pm instead of present 4.25 pm to reach Kollam at 9 pm instead of the present 9.45 pm schedule from December 1.
The Kollam-Kanyakumari MEMU (train no. 66304) now leaving Kollam at 11.05 am wil be leaving Kollam at 11.45 am to reach Kanyakumari at 3.45 from December 1.
The Thiruvananthapuram Central-Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri Express (train no. 16724) will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 4.20 pm instead of present 4.10 pm to reach Nagercoil at 6.05 pm against present 6 pm from December 1, informed railway authorities.
