1. Maglev: DRNTO is somewhat premium service, with less taker & Maglev would yield what?? Infra with no run??? If Low Cost Airline can threat Rajdhani, Maglev will b ceized fom the very first day!!

more... R&D deployment & outcome i discussed earlier. R&D doesnt mean Maglev, but to respond to Geographic/Topographic need. RDSO is well addressing this.
3. Low Cost Airlines vs Rajdhani: Well, y to compare mass with class??? Are Low Cost Airline in Profit??? Do IR make profit from Rajdhani??? Sorry, it makes profit through Freight Carriage!! Still, which Research will fill-up Rajdhani (which is running full, against low cost airlines)
4. U mean to create world class institutions to attract great minds?? I dont think IIM/IIT resembles world class infra, but they are class apart!! No-one cares respect, but CTC @ end!! Great Mind leads to recession & product failure etc!!
Experience is what been counted in IR Mechanism & it holds true in all regard!!
5. IR still in growth stage & many research outcome arnt implemented across India yet!! Concrete Sleeper, CBC Coupled Rake, LHB Rakes etc!
6. Sir, y the research be focussed for Rajdhani/Shatabdi only???? When IR gets revenue through Mass & Freight!! Mixing other nations fundamentals will lead loss only!! The MANTRA is, if Freight Load will run faser, the trains succeeding it will too move faster!
PS: Research is very much on-going, with very positive outcome for Indian Sub-Continent Requirement!! To research something, which cant be implemented, will always be termed obsolete & u will never get return on those investment!! Out-sourcing is been utilized globally, to balance cost & time!!
