does not even run at decent speed on "golden Track" btw ndls-jhs-bpl
All trains cannot run at the same speed. There are various factors. If there are normal sleeper coaches, there is drag on the train, thus slowing it down. Plus number of coaches which are SL and AC.. these factors affect high speed. Moreover coaches have certain limits at which they are rated. Not all coaches are rated for 140 as in the case of Bhopal Shatabdi. So the Golden route you are referring to has its limitations, not because of track but because of coach/rake capacity limitations.

the train has a crew change at bhopal and bhusaval which takes atleast half an hour each...+ the train has engiene change at bhusaval/mnmad as well as at daund...so golden route u r referring 2 is taking more time but bhopal to pune is quite quick time which seems 2 b slack
the speed any train depends on multivarious factors, such as density in the section, type of permanant way , , whether single line or double line, whether auto signal terriority or otherwise , maximum permissible speed of the section etc etc in which rolling stock also makes an important contribution.
