Maybe this was released just after the incident and rescue operations started. They have to be delusional if they think anyone is going to believe this. Even the sold-out news channels are reporting numbers around 200. The drama will start when the reason for the accident has to be revealed. I can't comprehend what reason they will make up to save the government's face.

Yes this was released 7-8 hours back, however like I said before 'mum' has been the word ever since. And just look at the wording on that press release.
One can only wonder what masterstrokes will be played out to save the government's face. IT seliya and chamchas are already blaming the opposition!

I fear worse stuff, but it is a very serious situation and I don't want to comment on it more without knowing more, but I hope they report things as they have occurred. Any inconsistency of such data is a disrespect to all those families who've lost their lives.

I am speculating that the tracks may be compromised somehow, otherwise how does a train derail on it's own? There have been multiple such sabotage attempts going on since the past few days.
Again, I want to reinstate this is just a speculation on my part...

I'm not so sure about sabotage. This is near a semi-urban area, close to a station. Normally sabotage happens in remote areas. Plus this stretch of track is notorious for multiple derailments in the past, including BBS Raj and Coro itself in 2009. Let's wait for the investigation.
