Today 31st, last day of Oct 2012: Moderator Sir announced a unique feature called 'sawaari mode' .... I experienced only on PC. It works well on PC with Google Browser.
This sawaari mode' in simple words: 'memory bank of your searched/surfed pages on IRI'
Even after you discontinue internet, it fetches the pages you visited:
To try to see the magic of
...
it : just follow following steps
1-Log in IRI
2-browse the site
3-disconnect internet
4-refresh the IRI page you were seeing.
5-It changes > on top left side a new sign is displayed 'sawaari mode'
and you will also see, after 'refreshing' summary of pages you visited: this will have another colum marked with 'xxx' that will allow you to remove if you want.... and there is another tab on top of summary 'Remove all sawaari pages'
This much explained: you can also read about announcement: /blog/post/567636. and give your Feed back to Moderator Sir, for your 'success or failure' so that needed correction will be done, as I experienced them...
Thank you
P.S.: this is posted for wider info, so that every member does give their views on this

Thanks for testing out the feature and providing feedback. Accordingly, preliminary bugs and issues have been fixed. As indicated yesterday here, "Sawaari Mode" is now available for all members and guests.
.
-@all: How to test it? Just surf IRI normally - search trains, news, pnrs, trips, blogs, drop-down, and so forth. Now disconnect from the internet. Go to google.com. You will get the message "Unable to connect...". Go to any other website. You will continue to get the message "Unable to connect...".
Now,

go to IRI by typing in indiarailinfo.com in the address bar. Everything will continue to work exactly like before. (see pic). You will see a red link saying "Sawaari Mode" indicating that you are surfing offline.
.
Thanks again to all those who provided feedback yesterday, allowing us to weed out some initial issues with the feature. Coming soon: Blog Composing/Posting while offline, with auto-posting whenever internet becomes available.

5. Enjoy blogging and travelling SAFELY.

REMEMBER: YOUR LIFE is the most precious thing, NOT RailFanning.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
