Abhi jab lockdown start hua tha...tab announcement hua tha ki 3 months k loan ka EMI koi chahe toh nehin bhi de sakte hai abhi....yeh news govt k bohut sare leaders ne bhi prachar kia ki govt middle class k liye bhi soch raha hai...public happy ho gaya ki WAH!! hume 3 months EMI se rahat milega in this situation jab job nehin hai, salary cut ho raha hai, etc. tab thora rahat milega ........but kya hua in reality ki yeh ek gumnam sach chupa hua tha is announcement k piche...aur woh kya tha ki jo in 3 months ka EMI nehin dega unko afterwards 8 to 9 months ka additional EMI pay karna hoga....toh so i think u r correct public shouldn't expect from government anything.

u see the domestic flights fare released yesterday there the minimum fare is say for shortest route is kept Rs.2000. But there in notes it is mentioned this fare excluding UDF+PSF+GST. So, add them where will minimum fare reach?. But newspapers giving publicity as minimum fare kept by govt is Rs 2000.
So, correct i agree with you we poor, middle class people must not expect anything from govt. Only businessmens, big peoples can expect benefits from government and they r getting also.
Lots of privatisation going all over India in all sectors, good for private businessesmen like adani, ambani, etc.
And if you see in this COVID-19 situation govt used all its govt institutions to give relief and all govt companies worked hard day and night ..where is the private companies now?
1. To bring other countries Indians back to India there is Air India.
2. To transport food and essential items all over India there is Indian railway.
3. To transport Shramiks from 1 state to another there is Indian railway.
3. For giving Direct Benefit transfer to people be it Gas prices subsidy, etc there is State Bank of India or other govt banks.
4. For postal and other works there is India Post.
5. For coal to Power plants there is Coal India and Indian railway.
etc,etc so many. In need govt use Govt companies/ agencies and when not in emergency need SELL them to Private..privatisation.
Yes we must not expect anything from govt.
