I dont understand ki why people are bothering ki it might be flop even before the train made to the tracks. Comparing it with DD is a big joke. How can one comapare a mixed composition train with a full AC DD train. Seriously? DD had a direct competition with Volvos whose fare was on par with DD at that time and they were available from within the city making it convinient to catch and they used to take less time too. But proposed ICE will probably be a full unreserved or mixed composition type train just like DADN-BPL ICE. There is no where mentioned in the news ki it would be a full AC train, then why this useless discussion about occupancy, GS and 2S class always get patronage. Except DD i've never found any train from Bhopal to Indore facing occupancy issue. But yes if people wanna judge...

DD was flop because it was not value for money. Railway was charging superfast cc fare when they should have charged the GR CC fare considering that DD seats are not as comfortable as conventional CC coaches.
If high priority is given by WCR and WR similar to what they give to the DQ in CR then the non stop intercity can cover indore bpl in 3 hours add another 15 mins to HBJ and 15 mins of slack total indb hbj will be 3hour 45 mins which imo should be slightly faster than volvos doing end to end as they too have to negotiate city traffic both in indore and bhopal. Return this should have around 4 hours end to end run time due to single line bottle neck on dewas indore and once this gets doubled then here too it can be done in 3 hours 45 mins

IMO 3 hrs run is sufficient b/w INDB and BPL. If they want to run it from HBJ then add 15 mins thats it. The DD used to cover the distance in 3hr35min with 6 halts. 3hr15min is still slacked if train is non-stop. In return 3hr30min is good cz at that time BPL has plenty of passing trains so getting entry at that time period would be difficult.
The route has potential for giving good avg despite being having MPS of 110. In my last journey in DADN ICE the train covered INDB-SHRN in 3 hr 4-5 mins with 6 halts with avg of 67kmph. It departed INDB 15 mins late and arrived SHRN 30 mins early. So maintaining an
