Once i had come across similar scenario when 12685 was with CBC. One passenger came and complaint to TTE, that his coach is creating very bad jerk , there is some issue in my coach. TTE politely said, it is common thing. But this guy was not ready to accept it, and he was annoyed with his reply and said, i will complain this, and further said,will you take responsibility if something happens to us. TTE still calmly said, this is common issue in this train, if you want, you can complain. He got pissed off and went

Are passengers fool to replace CBC coupler with screw ones ? Is comfort more important than life ?
Yes. But pax complaints sometimes seems to be a reason. Kerala SF was not maintained that well when it had CBC. I've noticed in CBE many times. So they eventually got rid of those rakes as Kerala SF is a prestigious train and people notice them in these trains. But i feel people should also notice the condition of poor Raptisagar. They shouldn't forget about it. Horrible maintenance by ERS and TVC SM for this train. I think even cleaning is not done at their side after such a long distance.
Sadly they are. They dont need to know what is CBC and Screw coupling. They just need to reach their destinations comfortably. The jerks are really annoying and make the journey a nightmare. Many complaints have come regarding this. Thats why IR has come up with a modified version of CBC coupling to decrease the effect of the jerks. Just imagine yourself in a journey full of jerks.. Main thing people look is by no doubt, comfort, then safety comes along.
