Beast WAP-4 notches up with Howrah Duronto Express at a belated proceed signal

.
5 hours late running 12274 New Delhi (NDLS)- Howrah (HWH) Bi-Weekly DURONTO Express headed by 22403 HWH WAP-4 (ex. WAP-6 of ASN shed) honks, and swifts past me at 90+ km/hr.. Note the notching up sound of the loco to a belated DOUBLE CAUTION-turned-GREEN home signal. And in the...
more... very beginning of the video, you can also see the tail of the 12363 Kolkata Chitpur Terminal (KOAA)- New Jalpaiguri (NJP)- Haldibari (HDB) Tri-Weekly Superfast Express crawling on a Double Caution Order.
The late running was due to the (in)famous North Indian fog mayhem. That particular day, Kalka Mail was late by 9 hours, Sealdah Rajdhani and Howrah Rajdhani by 7 hours, and Poorva by 13 hours, while Amritsar Mail ran on a revised schedule (making it late by almost 20 hours).
A few days ago (1st week of May), 12274 arrived at Howrah at 05:45, i.e. 15 minutes before time, hence covering the distance in 16 hours 45 minutes. Thus it became the first non-AC train to break the record of 12302 Howrah RAJDHANI Express (which takes 16 hours 55 minutes to cover the same). 12260 New Delhi- Sealdah DURONTO Express takes 16 hours 20 minutes.
12314 New Delhi- Sealdah RAJDHANI Express takes 17 hours 45 minutes.
12306 New Delhi- Howrah Weekly RAJDHANI Express (via Patna) takes 19 hours 40 minutes.
Btw, excapet 12306, all the other trains uses the Sealdah/ Howrah- Asansol- Dhanbad- Gaya- Gaya- Mughal Sarai- Allahabad- Kanpur- New Delhi route.
