My date of journey was 1st Jan 2010 and class was AC 2Tier. We in all 3 were travelling from Bandra Terminus to Jammu Tawi, me, my friend and his wife. Our Berth arrangement was side lower Berth No 5 ,side upper Berth No.6 and upper berth No 2. I travelled on upper berth throughtout the journey. My journey from Bandra to New delhi was very good.
On 2nd Jan our train reached New Delhi at 9:30am instead of 4:30 am due to fog and one more reason was overhead came down somewhere between Mathura and New Delhi in the midnight only. So my Swaraj Express was the 1st train to arrive at New Delhi since last night, so my train...
more... was made passenger train between New Delhi and Panipat. As no train went to Panipat since early morning. This situation was acceptable. I was sharing my seat with a lady from Bandra to New Delhi. Her berth was lower berth Seat No1. As per Indian Railway rules, the person who is having an upper berth will seat on the lower berth from morning 6:00am to night 9:00pm. At New Delhi another lady boarded my train her berth was the lower berth Seat No1. She was accompanied by her friend and her friends husband. That couples berth were 39 and 40. But these 3 came and sat on my seat i.e. on lower berth. When i came and told them that this is my seat, they told me that ur berth no is 2 ,so sit on the upper berth. So i tried to explain them the Indian Railway Rules as mentioned above and also told that couple to go to their respective berths, but they straight away refused me. So i went to TC to complain against them, TC told me to cooperate with them, as they are aged persons. So i sat on berth no 1 with other 2 passengers till Jalandhar Cant.
