.Permanent cancellation of trains with very poor patronage and using rakes for more demanded new trains, this will increase revenue plus will decrease the pressure from original route.
.Diversion of trains through routes with more demand and less traffic instead of using same main lines.
.Some Express trains runs equally like superfasts. Some with same time slot and some with few number of stops. They should be converted into superfasts. Example, 12508, 12516, 12510, 12514 and 15902, share same time slot between Guwahati-Vijaywada. 15902 can be converted into superfast. 18103 Tata-Amritsar...
more... Express runs like a SF train with less halts and on time. It should be converted into SF.
.Increasing cost of platform ticket to Rs 5 which is not too much to pay.
.Many people travel in trains, mostly in passenger trains without ticket because usually tickets are not checked in those trains. TTEs should strictly check tickets in those passenger trains and fine them. Absence of TTEs in such trains has become an advantage for people.
.The system of advanced unreserved ticket beyond a journey of 200 kms should be changed. According to new rule we can buy unreserved tickets from A to B from station C. Example, if you have to travel from Kolkata to Meerut but there is no direct train and you have reservation from Howrah to Ghaziabad but at Ghaziabad you have no time to buy unreserved ticket from Ghaziabad to Meerut. New rule should allow you to buy this advanced unreserved ticket from Howrah before your journey to Ghaziabad so that you can board any train at GZB without standing in queue and buying a ticket but with additional Rs 2 of charge.
.Removing 2AC coaches from short distance overnight trains and replacing them with 3AC coaches. Example- 18623/18624 Hatia-Rajendranagar Express.
