This Loco has been designed by Alstom for Indian railways after winning the bid for manufacturing HP locos which Indian railways will use for DFCs. Its been manufactured at Madhepura with few initially being imported rest all locally assembled. Alstom is only building the infrastructure for maintaining these HP locos initially at Saharanpur (NR) & Nagpur (CR). Ajni is already present but the name mentioned is nagpur. Let see a new Loco shed is going to be built or Ajni will get it. News related to this was related some months back in TOI copy which as of now I don't have but one can get it through Google. Even many blogs my senior railfans have confirm this. May be in future some other shed will also get these locos.

Aur ek baat shayad agle 25 30 saalo me passenger locomotives ke naye versions dekhne ko bhi na mile kyuki ab Indian railways sirf aur sirf train sets pe hi dhyaan dega. Tab tak kaun zinda rehta hai pata nahi. Lekin future generation is baat ka witness zarur rahega. Mujhe aisa lagta hai ki shayad WAP7 ke baad ab aur koyi naya paseenger locomotive nahi aane wala. Indian railways ne Train 18 and Train 20 train sets ki shuruaat kar di hai. Initially Shatabdi and Rajdhani se start hoga.
