I agree with all you said. To add more -
. Plus the attention and the way passengers of MYS base are maintained with charging points at all bays, clean toilets. The quality of maintenance is truly seen by how the passenger trains are maintained. Premier/SF trains are always given attention, but passenger maintenance shows dedication.

Few grouses I have with MYS are:
. Non improvement of DVG, HAS and ASK PFs - height and shelter. They have not done well in the 3 most important stations under them. But smaller stations like JRU, they have developed superbly into 4 PFs from 3. All well concretised and raised in height. So have they done to many smaller stations on UBL route.
But these 3 and the stations on CTA-BAY route is bad. Many stations on the BAY route have no PFs at all !!
. No trains (daily passenger) from MYS div for the CTA-BAY route.
. Problems with bio-toilets maintenance of Basava. Always that train stinks when it passes. Its due to bio-toilets blockage than MYS maintenance, I guess.
. Lastly, the cleanliness of the BSB train. Varanasi train has no maintenance time at all, so almost no maintenance seems to be done. Again problem with TT than MYS maintenance.

UBL became HQ due to equitable distribution of development and importance. So North Karnataka region got the HQ.
