Dear friend, more short distance chaircar intercity trains touching the major cities/ tourist destinations in Gujrat like Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhuj/Gandhidham, Dwarka, Somnath, porbandar etc are very much required.

(3) return journey too shall be complete at late night (say 14:10 to 23:20)
(4) Further, with too aggressive timetable, as compared to fastest train on route, the train is likely to run late. In fact slower speed is one of the reason trains have lost traffic to roadways in the region.

People of the region are used to convenient road transportation, they may not like to switch over to inconveniently timed train.Trimming the journey of the proposed train like Somnath(6:15)-ADI(13:30) & Return (14:30-21:45), or Junagadh (6:00)-BRC(13:40) & Return (14:30-22:10) could be a better option. One excellent train on the route could be BDTS-Somnath triweekly SF train with LHB coaches using the slot of 22903/4 BDTS-Bhuj triweekly ACSF between BDTS and Viramgam (557kms). Abstract timings of the train:
BDTS dep23:45 ADI arr 6:20/dep 6:35 Somnath Arr 13:50;
SMNH dep 15:00 ADI arr 22:15/dep 22:30 BDTS arr 5:15.
Presently Mumbai is not having direct train for Somnath. And much needed Fast connectivity between Mumbai and Rajkot/Junagadh/Veraval shall be fulfilled by this train.
