At last land acquisition - all hills belong to Govt, but the trouble is in towns like Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Srinagar. It is simply chockablock full of houses, who will let their house to be demolished for constructing the line or station?

In plains atleast they can build stations far off from town like they did in coastal Karnataka for the Konkan line. But here, demolition of existing dwellings is required for the line and that will be the biggest stumbling block.
