IRCTC's Tiger Express - flagged off by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on World Environment Day - is the Indian Railways' new initiative to attract tourists to Madhya Pradesh's Bandhavgarh and Kanha National Parks, famous for their tigers. In addition the trip will also take tourists to Dhuadhar Waterfall in Bedhaghat near Jabalpur. The 5th June, 2016 trip of the Tiger Express, also known as the Tiger Trail Circuit Train, was the inaugural run of this train. The semi-luxury train is fully air-conditioned and its regular monthly trips will begin from October, 2016 onwards.
