Problem ICF coach se nahi hai. Problem uska coupling se hai. If the rake just had CBC couplings, then the coaches would not have rolled off, preventing a lot of casualties. Even if IR does not give LHB coaches to all trains, they should at least convert the existing ICF rakes to CBC rakes. That will guarantee a similar performance to LHB coaches in most common derailments.
Talgo would probably be even safer. Talgo coaches are made of extremely durable Aluminum alloys which are lighter than the steel used in our LHB coaches, but are equally strong. more... makes sure that the train does not move laterally. Also don't forget that the coaches are designed for high speeds. They will be designed to withstand high speed derailments and impacts by default. Don't let their small size fool you!!
