Practically the cost charged by porters is any where from Rs. 100 to Rs. 500 or even more, esp. in metro cities and if the luggage is more. One has to pay the excessive charges, there is no way out. Wise persons travel with minimum possible luggage and that too in trolley bags/cases. Generally No porter talks below 100/- even for a single and medium/small luggage.
At station premises, purchasing other things/eatables etc is also a similar experience, where customers are cheated by way of higher than official rate/ lesser than notified quantity or poor quality. more... out and the manipulators/defaulters become lowest bidder and are awarded tenders, result is looting of passengers. These manipulators should be black listed and banned to sell goods in IR premises, but any how they manage to survive and thrive, leaving the honest ones to doom.
