MORE INFO BRO..
You are going to get the duplicate don’t worry just carry the following with you
(a) Photo identity, say PAN card or Passport
(b) photocopy of the above
(c) address proof of
...
the address mentioned while doing reservation – Nice to have don’t worry much if not there
(d) PNR number or photocopy of ticket- Nice to have don’t worry much if not there
1) Visit the railway station closest to you where reservations take place, say Pune railway station
2) Visit the PRS (passenger reservation system) cabin. In Pune this is close to counter no.1
3) Here you will face the first “government assistance” feeling
4) For Pune you would see Mr. Rakesh Sinha as the Supervisor and he would be pretty much busy with his royal “paan chewing” experience
5) Request him with above documents and an application:
Application format:
Write an application with the following format on white paper:
To
The Reservation Supervisor
Pune Railway satation
Subject: – Request to re-issue window ticket on account of loss of the original copy
Respected Sir,
I’ve lost my original window ticket and respect you to kindly re-issue me a duplicate copy of the same.
Details:
Train number:
Passenger Details:
Journey From/To:
Address:
PNR: If you have it, else don’t worry
6) Now the PRS will verify this application with original and xerox document of yours
7) He will ask you to stand in “queue” again in the specific window where duplicate ticket is issued.
For Pune that window is counter no. 2 (Right now Mr. A Khan sits there)
8) Have some cash with you and a lot of patience
9) You will be charged 50 Rs. per passenger.
10) If the ticket was tatkal then the charges would be too high but the procedure remains the same.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
