There have been several reports that IRI cannot be accessed from a few large mobile data providers like Vodafone, whereas the site works fine when accessed through others. The matter was investigated, and the findings are that the connections are just not reaching the IRI servers. This may be because of routing problems or other issues WITHIN the mobile networks. Since IRI is a very small site, such big mobile providers may not really care or be interested in rectifying such problems, and subscribers will have to suffer with such shortcomings.

there were such problems with big sites like Google or Facebook, the media would raise a hue and cry with front-page headlines, and such issues would be immediately rectified by Vodafone. Since IRI is a really small site, all we may do is just pray that the problem gets fixed eventually. This is one of the reasons that "net neutrality" is such a big topic. Whether a site is big or small, an ISP should take EQUAL due diligence measures to ensure that all websites are accessible to PAYING SUBSCRIBERS. We may just be thankful that we don't (yet) have ONE monopoly ISP in India who can dictate which sites should or should not be accessible to the general public.
.
However, unfortunately, such rantings are not going to lead to any resolution of the matter.
.
Meanwhile, we have created a WORKAROUND solution, and commissioned a few extra servers at a different location to circumvent the blockage by Vodafone. If you are unable to access IRI, please go to ...
d2.indiarailinfo.com for the desktop site.
m2.indiarailinfo.com for the mobile site.
The servers may be slow for now, but we shall work to make them faster.
.
Pl. let us know if you are facing access problems to the above two sites. Meanwhile, we are continuing to find ways to resolve this brand new crisis which has fallen out of the blue.
.
Thanks for everyone's patience, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Simple Solution : Use Opera Browser And Enable Opera Turbo. Opera Turbo Option It Is Available On Both Version(Desktop & Mobile) Of Browser. All Site When Accessed With Opera Turbo Enabled Are Routed Via Opera Server And No ISP Will Block Opera Browser Server. All Secured Websites (Https://) Are Not Routed Via Opera Server, If You Don't Believe Opera You May Disable Opera Turbo When Accessing Bank Sites. Attached Images Show Two Different IP Address When I Access Secured Site Google It Shows My Real IP Address And When Access Non Secures Site It Shows My ISP Is Opera Server. If You Encounter Error Such As Connection Refused, Access Denied Than Such Sites Don't Allow Proxy. Opera Turbo Just Act As Proxy Server which is Safe Because Opera Turbo Does Not Route Secured Sites Via Its Servers.

Hi everyone,
Some time ago, I was unable to access IRI/Amazon India etc websites on Airtel 2G/3G networks, while the same were running smoothly on other ISPs. After contacting customer care, it seemed they had no solution for that. So I gave up & decided to change the service provider. But one day while browsing, I came over the APN settings, where it was selected Airtellive.com. I changed it to airtelgprs.com and so got back the access to all the sites. Check if you have got the same problem with the APNs in your device Internet settings.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
