we're not expecting such thing which wont matrialise ever...technically u're correct..atleast 70-75 km still can be patch doubled,but it is the same authorities has to be approached who're not allocating funds for feasible SMTA RQJ project...will they allocate funds for doubling inside forest? Moreover,no political lobby from this area who're having any kind of connection with Rly Ministry to expedite the projects....Not only doubling of main line,even the fencing of Elephant Corridor,construction of guardwall everything requires huge amt of fund...But who'll sanction?
Moreover people regularly complains through this forum that WB & Bihar has always got huge share of trains in every rail budget..But that is partially true & applicable for ER-SER portion not for the NFR portion...The non-suburban stations in ER...
more... for eg,Rampurhat,Bolpur,Azimganj,Barddhaman,Durgapur,Katwa etc which doesnt have a Single pit line has each got atleast 15-25 DEMU/EMU/Pass each day..but look @ the situation in NFR...there are quite a few distt HQ's which are having 4-5 passenger trains in a day...this is discrimination @ its best in a democratic state.
