Trivandrum Division is planning to attach Diesel Locos instead of Electrical locos, which will permit some of the trains to be passed through Kayankulam station even during the block hours.
The trains which are likely to suffer 10 minutes to 1 hour delays during the night are as follows: 16348 Mangalore-Trivandrum, 16344 Palakkad Town Trivandrum (Amrita Express), 16343 Trivandrum Palakkad (Amrita Express), 16331 Mumabi CST - Trivandrum, 12432 H. However during the first phase of the non-interlocked working between Feb 7 to Feb 21 there is no proposal to cancel train services. From Feb 23 to Mar 11, day time blocks will be given to Construction Branch from 11 am to 03 pm on 10 days; 5 hrs, 6 hrs and 7 hrs blocks on one or two days. On these days there will be a few short cancellation of train.
