Catering service is perfect specially snacks like Bhajiya, Cutlets, and Pakoda.. Tea was fine. Cup noodles and tomato soup were also available.
Thats a great step.. Hope people to maintain the discipline and its maintenance. as its initially our duty to keep it safe and clean.
One of the most unclean trains on IR with dirty bedrolls and broken toilets pls carry ur own bedsheet while traveling on this train!!!!
one of the problem is this train has 7 rakes, in some rakes few coaches are good and clean, but SR should ensure to maintain the cleanliness of this prestigious train.. also needs to allocate LHB coahes.

I traveled in this train in 2011 between Jhansi and Katpadi. I will never travel on this train again. One of the worst trains I have traveled in. Feels like you are traveling inside a garbage bin. Never again.
The fact is almost all trains of TVC div face this problem and this being a long running train the problem is too much .
I think the problem is with our public who lack sense of cleanliness. They eat peanuts and drop the shells right where they are sitting, children are never taught to flush,spitting pan masala in the washbasin clogging the pipes etc. There are many long distance trains in different parts of the world and I can tell you most of them are kept very clean. First illegal entry should be stopped in reserved coaches. I think even PRS waitlisted tickets should automatically cancel once the charting has been done. It wont solve the problem but we should make a start somewhere.
but what abt the quality of service viz quality of blankets in ac, non issue of towel, used and dirty sheet. bad shapped and uncomfortable births. they are responsibility of IR.
IR can only do what it can. I have seen passengers blow their nose in the sheets,wipe shoes with their towel,wipe greasy(oily) hands in the sheets etc. No amount of washing will remove the stains. Am sorry to say we Indians are one of the dirtiest people around.Even Sub-saharan Africa is cleaner. Am sure I will get get lot of brickbats but I like to call spade a spade. With the amount of money we pay for our tickets IR provides us more than enough(regarding berths,blankets etc). Actually IR is running a charitable service(social responsibility) in my opinion.
I completely agree with u public is to be balmed for most of the issues of cleanliness and not evryone its we who spoil everythng and blame the railways
ok then lets agree on thing. IR should stop providing bedding in AC coaches and reduce ticket price accordingly. peoples will manage the things accordingly by their own. then there will be on complaints like this. nd make fine costing 4 times the ticket cost one has if he is cought siptting or dirtying coaches. but at the same time, IR must make such arrangement to stop begger, various seller from entering into train, who do not have any ticket thus cannot be fined.

General Coches of Weekly long distance train having very less stops are found empty like 12484/Amritsar - Kochuveli Weekly SF Express. Trains which run daily are famous and never have empty general coaches or even any coach Sleeper,AC all full

Well you are always welcome to TPTY. You may go to darshan on Thursday becoz on that day you will get NIJAROOPA DARSHANAM. Which is on that day there will be no ornaments are wear to the LORD VENKATESA. Just a clothe has weared on that day.

Ongole to Srisailam by bus appears to me to be very long for a bus journey. Sorry, I just checked and edited. It is 175 KM so busable
There is no direct trains to SRISAILAM. You may travel in bus or in private vehicle. But onething go to KRNT then take busses from Kurnool to Srisailam Is belongs to KURNOOL district not belongs to ONGOLE district.
any suggestion and change in plan if required. also about darshan is it crowdy
I checked at APSRTC website buses are available. Also TPTY to KRNT will take 7-8 hours and TPTY to OGL 3-4 hours
Rush at TML is common bro iy will take minimum 2hrs maximum is about 12hrs sometimes a day. Take darshan in Saturday. Because it is the favourite day of LORD SRIVENKATESWARA swamy. Then on sunday morning you may go to SRISAILAM. Take darshan at SRISAILAM on MONDAY. Because is the favourite day of LORD SIVA.
One more info bro there is a tour conducted by APTDC I.e., nearby temple tour cost per person is approximately Rs400/- per head. They cover nearby temples.

I read the same type info but it was by TTD at 250 per person for 8-10 (8 Hour)Temples/Sight Seeing and 100 per person for 5 Temples(4 Hour) at TTD Website.

We are planning to stay at Tirupati Friday night after arrival and to go to tirumala by feet through Srivari Mattu. Is this road or stairs. If road thenbwhat about the steep.
Well Srivari metlu is near CHANDRAGIRI and alipiri pedestrian steps are inside Tirupati. From Tirupati to Chandragiri there is no of busses are available.

Thanks to both of my friends. I just found a helpline number 1800 425 4141 set up by TTD and they confirmed that both Alipiri and Srivari Mattu are steps ie Stairs. So Idea totally dropped as I have my parents with me. We will go by bus to tirumala. Now it's all about the darshan and accommodation which still needs to be plan.
For quick darshan pl go through rs300/- per head darshan bro. Normal free darshan you may take a while. 2laddoos were given.
Remember one thing. For Srisalam you have to plan carefully if coming in evening Buses. Srisailam have 2 Check posts. One is in KRNT/BZA Road side and one is SC/MBNR Side. Both check posts will be closed from 21.00 pm to 5 AM due to Animals especially Tiger Movement at night. so no buses/Taxis any thing will be not allowed at that time. From SC side 2 Buses have permission to come to SSLM and both will start at 22.00 PM from SC and reach Srisailam by 2.30/3AM in Morning. i found so many times Peacock,Deers,Byson etc animals in that road. 3/4 times i saw Tigers also. Once a Tiger stopped my bus for 2 Hrs as it is eating a Deer on the Road. Drivers are not permitted to on the Lights or Horn when animals are on the road by forest Department. They must wait until they clear the...

I read these points earlier on internet that all buses and taxis halted at Check post and We planned the trip in Day time. From TPTY to OGL by train and then from Ongole to Srisailam by bus.
Go to APSRTC web site and heck Buses. that will more helpful to you. if no bus to Srisailam on your preferred time come to Dornal & from there you can get bus for every 5-10 mints up to 22.00 PM

Here is a list of trains from Tirupati to Vellore /search/837/0/6621 One train available daily at 13.50, 2 trains available only on Saturday I.e., tomorrow. Check it. Private bus might be available from Tirupati to Vellore. Enquire once in the place where private buses stay i.e., opposite bus stand near Srinivasam pilgrimage complex. Even if you don't get a private bus or train suitable to you. You can go to Chittoor by bus, from Chittoor there will be number of bus services to Vellore. In Vellore new bus stand itself you can get bus towards Golden temple.
Ok. Now some changes in Tirumala hills TIMESLOT system is established in tirumala. So kindly take aadharcard with you. What I told in above reply. Busses are operating by TN govt. I forgot the bus number. But it is running from SRIKALAHASTI - VELLORE

What you expect from a long distance train having a general compartment.. morning trains from delhi like Samta,Hirakund,Mangla,Jhelum,Kerela, and evening trains like Goa,Mahakaushal,SK are always heavily packed.
