Quantity as well as Quality Food of 12951 which is loaded from Mumbai Base Kitchen for 2A and 3A is WORST. In my Journey, passengers of my coach threw away the tray and straight forward asked for the Complaint book.
Yes, Food of 12952 From Delhi Base kitchen is Very Good...Super, but again breakfast loaded from BRC, is average, got too good and not too bad also.
Catering is by IRCTC.

But Breakfast Loaded from Kota was Good.
It Included
1. 2 Cutlets and Boiled Peas
2. Upma ( Common )
3. Amul Kool Pista Milk Bottle
4. Omletter( under Non veg )
5. Bread Slices ( Common )
6. Kachori ( Common )
7. Paper tissue
8. Ketchup, Butter Sachet etc etc.
This is What you will get in 12951 in tea/soup/snacks.

1. A Vegetable Sandwitch, Raw taste
2. A Butter Sachet
3. A Small Samosa
4. Paper Tissue

1. Vegetable/tomato soup, Good Taste, but less Quantity.

Since we were Served Food Before Entering Surat, and as per most of the People say that Food is always served before Surat, most of the Passengers Deboarded at Surat and Brought Punjabi Thali Food at Rs 130/-, but it was truly Delicious, Available at Platform 1.

In First Class AC (1A) the food is awesome and tasty and services are also good. But in 2A and 3A, services are good but the quality of food is not up to the mark.

In my travel in 2AC, I took non-veg food, and my friends took veg food.. Many of us just returned the plate because of the worst quality of food. We're happy with our own snacks that we had from my friends home. I do not know when the railways will wake-up from this complete mess... In premium trains, catering should not be compulsory and make it is an optional, then only, food quality will improve.

As far back as 1995, I had travelled BRC NDLS by Rajdhani, and return NDLS BRC by Paschim Express.... It has speed , as per TT, max 107 kms.
and has good halts,

Rest is upto you which class to choose... but 2A is enjoyable.
What is recent situation, I am not familiar. I hope with improved customer satisfaction efforts by IR, it must be worth our money.
The station cleanliness was noteworthy, as it was time of Late Madhav Rao Scindhia whose initiatives as RM had paid off.
