Daytime Bangalore Mangalore train should be extended to Mangalore Central. Even this train crawls after Bantwal. Ideally from Bangalore it should start by 0830 and reach MAQ by 1730 and return it should start from MAQ by 0830 and reach YPR by 1800.
Also, by listing 3 trains on a single slot, people are getting a false feeling of 3 trains. TT is horrible on a day when it starts at 0900 and reach at 2000 at YPR.

From Mangalore Cental, if you ask for any additional train, SR has a standard reply - no slot/ platform. So, Mangalore association should demand extension of two TVC MAQ trains to Hubli/ Belgaum via Konkan/ Hassan. Similarly one of the three MAS MAQ trains should be demanded for extension to Karwar/ VSG to take care of coastal Karnataka to Chennai/ Coimbatore/ Salem traffic. SWR should take over 2 of these trains (one Chennai and one TVC), so that Karnataka get some intra state connection. If it is not possible, demand MAQ to be handed over to KR or SWR.

** But IR is not giving due consideration to capacity augmentation of KR

KR has identified 3 sections for future Doubling, these are...
Vaibhavwadi Rd to Madure ( Maha-GOA border) : 88 kms
Madgaon to Balli : 16 kms
Udupi to Thokur

more...
: 46 kms..
These 3 sections do not have tunnels & relatively easier to double...
However, the execution of Roha-Veer ( 47 kms) took 5 years, at a snail pace..
KR will have to start work on these 3 sections simultaneously and with better execution, it will further ease out operation on KR..

**During the period of Mr Prabhu, it was reported that the doubling shall be done simultaneously in a few more stretches in addition to Roha-Veer, but that could not materialize.
** KR want to do doubling of long tunnels in the last phase to double maximum route KMs at minimum cost in shorter time.
