PRESS RELEASE
With a view to clear stranded passengers at various places across the country due to lockdown, Ministry of Railways have decided to run 100 pairs of Special Trains all over Indian Railways. Out of these 100 pairs, South Eastern Railway will run 9 pairs of Special Trains originating from Howrah, Shalimar, Tatanagar and Ranchi towards Mumbai, Yesvantpur, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Secunderabad, Danapur, Barbil and Patna with effect from 1st June, 2020. 1. 02245/02246 Howrah -Yesvantpur - Howrah Superfast Special:

This train will run every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday w.e.f 02.06.2020 from Howrah. In the opposite direction, the train will run every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday w.e.f. 04.06.2020 from Yesvantpur. The train will run as per the route, timings and stoppages of 12245/12246 Howrah-Yesvantpur- Howrah Duronto Express.

2. 02213/02214 Shalimar - Patna- Shalimar Special:

This train will run from Shalimar every Monday, Wednesday and Friday w.e.f. 01.06.2020. In the return direction, the train will run from Patna every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday w.e.f. 02.06.2020. The train will run as per the route, timings and stoppages of 22213/22214 Shalimar- Patna- Shalimar Duronto Express.

3. 02021/02022 Howrah-Barbil-Howrah Superfast Special:

This train will run daily from Howrah and Barbilw.e.f. 01.06.2020. The train will run as per the route, timings and stoppages of 12021/12022 Howrah-Barbil-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express.

4. 02810/02809 Howrah-CSMT (Mumbai)-Howrah Superfast Special:

This train will run daily from Howrah w.e.f. 01.06.2020 and from CSMT (Mumbai) w.e.f 03.06.2020. The train will run as per the route, timings and stoppages of 12810/12809 Howrah-CSMT (Mumbai)-Howrah Mail.

5. 02834/02833 Howrah-Ahmedabad-Howrah Superfast Special:

This train will run daily from Howrah w.e.f. 01.06.2020 and from Ahmedabad w.e.f 04.06.2020. The train will run as per the route, timings and stoppages of 12834/12833 Howrah-Ahmedabad-Howrah Express.
6. 08183/08184 Tatanagar-Danapur-Tatanagar Superfast Special:

This train will run daily from Tatanagar w.e.f. 01.06.2020 and from Danapur w.e.f 02.06.2020. The train will run as per the route, timings and stoppages of 18183/18184 Tatanagar-Danapur-Tatanagar Express.

These apart, three more trains originating/terminating in SER jurisdiction viz. 02703/02704 Howrah-Secunderabad-Howrah Special, 02073/02074 Howrah-Bhubaneswar-Howrah Special and 02365/02366 Patna-Ranchi-Patna Special will also be introduced as per the timings and stoppage of the regular identical train.

Some Salient features and Guidelines for passengers :-

·Online E-ticketing will be done through IRCTC Website or through Mobile App. Tickets are also available in selected PRS counters opened o­n 22.05.2020.

·ARP (Advance Reservation Period) will be maximum 30 days.

·Both AC and Non AC coaches will be available.

·No unreserved tickets will be issued. General coaches will be also reserved with allotted seats for sitting.

·RAC and waitlisted tickets will be available.

·No Tatkal and premium Tatkal bookings is allowed.

·Waitlisted passengers are not allowed to board/travel.

·Face cover/mask and Arogya Setu app is compulsory.

·Passenger should reach 90 minutes before the scheduled departure of train.

·Only asymptomatic passengers would be allowed to travel. Full refund to all symptomatic passengers.

·Packed food items and water will be available o­n payment in the pantry cars, if attached to train.

·No linen, blankets or curtains in trains.

1. Train No. 16022 Mysuru – Chennai Kaveri Express commencing journey from Mysuru on 17.03.2020 will be diverted to run via KSR Bengaluru, Yesvantpur, Banaswadi, Baiyyappanahalli instead of KSR Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cantonment, Baiyyappanahalli.

REPLACEMENT OF TRAINS RAKE FROM CONVENTIONAL TO LHB (LINKE HOFMANN BUSCH)
2nd & 3rd rakes of Train No. 12245/12246 Howrah – Yesvantpur – Howrah Duranto Express will be provided with LHB coaches in place of conventional coaches with effect from 15.03.2020 & 18.03.2020 from Howrah and from 17.03.2020 & 20.03.2020 from Yesvantpur.
With this conversion, all the three rakes of the Train No. 12245/12246 Howrah – Yesvantpur – Howrah Duranto Express will be running with LHB rake.
DIVERSION / REGULATION OF TRAINS
Following trains will be diverted/regulated due to Pre Non Interlocking/Non Interlocking works in connection with doubling work between Prayag – Phaphamau stations in Allahabad – Phaphamau section of Lucknow Division as detailed below:-

The 12245/46 Howrah - Yesvantpur Duronto Express is a Superfast Express train of the Duronto Express Category belonging to Indian Railways - South Eastern Railway zone that runs between Howrah Junction in Kolkata, West Bengal and Yesvantpur Junction in Bangalore, Karnataka.
It operates as train number 12245 from Howrah Junction to Yesvantpur Junction and as train number 12246 in the reverse direction serving the states of Karnataka, Andhra pradesh, Odisha & West Bengal. It will run with Modern LHB Coaches from 13th March, 2020.

As the average speed of the train is above 55 km/h (34 mph), as per Indian Railway rules, its fare includes a Superfast surcharge. The train 12245/46 Howrah - Yesvantpur Duronto Express has stops at Bhubaneswar, Vizianagaram, Vijayawada and Renigunta.
As the route is fully electrified, it is powered by a Santragachi based WAP 7 or WAP 4 or Tatanagar based WAP 7 for its entire journey.
12245/Howrah - Yesvantpur Duronto Express leaves Howrah Junction at 10:50 AM every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday and reaches Yesvantpur Junction the next day at 16:00 PM.
12246/Yesvantpur - Howrah Duronto Express leaves Yesvantpur Junction at 11:00 AM every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday and reaches Howrah Junction the next day at 16:45 PM.
The 12245/46 Howrah - Yesvantpur Duronto Express presently has 1 AC First Class, 1 AC 2 Tier, 4 AC 3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class and 2 SLR (Seating cum Luggage Rake) coaches. In addition, it carries a Pantry Car Coach.
To provide secure and comfortable journey to the passengers, it has been decided to run all three rakes of 12245/12246 Howrah-Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express with most sophisticated and Modern LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) Coaches instead of existing conventional coaches w.e.f. 13.03.2020 from Howrah. The revised composition of Howrah-Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express is 1 First AC, 1 Second AC, 5 Third AC and 11 Sleeper Class Coaches and 2 Generator Car. Along with the introduction of LHB Coaches, passengers would get improved amenities with more comfort during journey. The features of LHB Coaches is listed below.
Fire Extinguisher in all Coaches.
Fire detection and suppression system in all AC coaches.
Modular Wash Basin outside and inside the lavatory with automatic Bib Cock, which will save water.
Air Suspension System in coaches for riding comfort in place of coil spring.
Modern equipment for application of automatic brake in case of failure in air suspension brake system.
Improvised Bio Toilet with water pressure system.
Accommodation will increase substantially. There will be an increase of 72 berths in AC 3 Tier and 22 berths in Sleeper Class Coaches.

HOWRAH-YESVANTPUR DURONTO EXPRESS
TO RUN WITH LHB COACHES

a view to provide secure and comfortable journey to the travelling passengers, it has been decided to run all three rakes of 12245/12246 Howrah-Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express with most sophisticated and modern LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches instead of existing conventional coaches w.e.f. 13.03.2020 from Howrah. The revised composition of Howrah-Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express is o­ne First AC, o­ne Second AC, five Third AC and eleven Sleeper Class coaches. With the introduction of LHB Coaches, travelling passengers would get improved passenger amenities with more comfort during journey. The features of new LHB Coaches are as under:-
·Fire Extinguisher in all coaches
·Fire detection and suppression system in all AC coaches
·Modular Wash Basin outside and inside the lavatory with automatic Bib Cock, which will save water.
·Air Suspension System in coaches for riding comfort in place of coil spring
·Modern equipment for application of automatic brake in case of failure in air suspension brake system
·Improvised Bio Toilet with water pressure system.
·Accommodation will increase substantially. There will be an increase of 72 berths in AC 3 Tier and 22 berths in Sleeper Class Coaches.
