While waiting for 09009 Mumbai Central New Delhi AC Duronto Express Special.
Saw Ahmedabad Shatabdi hauled by Tatanagar WAP 7 37260 standing at Platform# 3. Couldn't resist taking it's pictures.
The train was shunted out at 10:30 PM just before shunting of Duronto. The WHOLE station was empty during that time, Mumbai Central has the potential to start numerous trains in night time, the only arriving train is Golden Temple Mail (at 11:45 PM) and only departing train is Duronto (at 11 PM). No other train at all.

Why Mumbai & Chennai Central stations have fully covered roofs whereas other stations are not ?
It was given to us by Britishers. However I don`t the feel the need to have such upper ceiling on stations.
These British built structures are nice & unique. Most of the british built stations are terminal stations. Why Britishers prefer terminals rather than Junctions ? I mean Mumbai, Chennai, Howrah are terminal stations why they are not jns stations, mumbai is island & have sea at end & howrah have river at end but chennai didnt have anything why they never make it junction ?
another mumbai trip.. this time for couple of days.. hope for swaraj aggressive run
