Delayed by a couple of hours, 15622 Anand Vihar - Kamakhya Weekly Express via New Mal, Goalpara Town makes its way past the calm waters of Deepor Beel powered by Siliguri (SGUJ) WDP 4 # 20052.

The reflection of the mountains in the water combined with the dusk resulted in a mesmerizing setup which one can simply sir back & admire !

The Deepor Beel is a permanent freshwater lake which also happens to be a wildlife sanctuary as well as a Ramsar wetland. The sanctuary homes 219 species of birds, 50 species of fishes, 38 reptiles & amphibian species & 448 plant species.

The 50 species of birds include a few critically endangered & endangered species like the Baer's Pochard, Greater Adjutant, Lesser Adjutant, etc.
