SWR has decided to extend Train No. 82661 / 82662 Yelahanka – Kalaburagi - Yelahanka Suvidha Special up to Bidar to clear the extra rush during Dussehra Festival on 04.10.2019 (Friday) & 07.10.2019 (Monday) and arrive Bidar at 08:30 hrs on the respective next day (02 Trips only).

Bidar Klbg line mps is 80 kmph and mps from klbg to ynk will be 110 but gtl dmm route is already choked so tt is slow for this train
Firstly, It's a special train, so mostly it's schedule is set in such a way that it makes operations easier for the railways. Most specials are run to convenient schedules for the railways than for passengers. (This is expected as they need to manage route capacity).
Secondly, pretty much all trains take a very long time for the GTL-DMM run. In the reverse direction (DMM-GTL) the schedules are much faster. This is because the zonal handover slack for most trains is in the GTL-DMM section, before the handover to SWR from SCR.

Bidar - Kalaburagi line is class E line i.e., trains can run with a maximum speed upto 100 km/hr. But sanctioned MPS may be less than 100 km/hr

But why till YNK why can't you extend to YPR via KJM....it's more useful than YNK...
yeshwantpur is highly saturated and no slots. Hence they end points are mostly at Yelankha and when Bayappanahalli ready most of the trains will be moved there
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Thank you for the information Most more train travels YNK to YPR except Udyan Ltt express and Karnataka express...this train KLBG should VIA KJM to YPR......
Better run it up to Bidar, additional useful for few more pax.
