Yo, don't even think about staying at Veekay Tourist Home (near exit of pf 1 Yesvantpur Jn). It's the absolute worst hotel experience we had. When I booked the place through their website, it seemed decent and it was close to Yesvantpur Jn. But as soon as we checked into the room, we realized there was no way to call reception, the TV didn't have a remote, and it didn't even work at all. I spent the entire night getting bit by bedbugs and barely got any sleep. I had rashes all over my arms, back, and forehead. The next day, we discovered that our room didn't even have hot water. We asked the reception about it, and they casually told us we could use another room for a shower. But that other room reeked of cigarettes and alcohol. We complained to the reception, but they didn't even bother to apologize or offer us any kind of discount. We talked to some other people staying at the hotel and they had similar issues. We checked out immediately the following day. Our hired car driver told us there are some good hotels near pf 6 of Yesvantpur Jn, so maybe check those out instead.

Main jab unke site pe check karke hotel book kiya tha, toh mujhe accha laga aur woh Yesvantpur Jn ke nazdeek tha. Jab hum room mein check-in kiye, tab pata chala ki reception ko call karne ke liye intercom nahi tha, TV ke paas remote bhi nahi tha aur TV khud bhi kaam nahi kar raha tha.
Puri raat bedbugs ne mujhe kaat-ta rahe aur main sooth hi nahi saka. Mere haath, peeth aur mathhe pe khujli ki chhote-chhote dhabbe bhi ho gaye the. Agli subah pata chala ki humare room mein garam paani bhi nahi tha. Humne reception se pucha toh unhone bola ki hum dusre room mein nahaa sakte hain. Woh dusra room sharab aur cigarette ki badboo daalta tha. Humne reception ko sab sikayat kiya lekin woh toh maafi bhi nahi maangne ya kuch discount dene se bhi inkaar kar diya. Humne hotel ke kuch aur logon se poocha toh unko bhi wahi haalat lagi. Hum agle din turant check-out kar diye.

The Double Bed Retiring Room at this station is awesome! It's on Platform number 1. The room has an air conditioner (split AC) and two separate metal cupboards with their own doors. There are inbuilt locks and also slots for you to use your own lock. You'll find a table and two chairs in the room. The washroom is spacious and clean. Since it's on the platform, you can clearly hear train announcements inside the room (which might bother some people during night stays). They provide a door lock and you can also use your own lock. Cleaning is done around 9 AM. The canteen on Platform 1 is very close to the retiring room.

PF no 1 pe Double Bed Retiring Room bahut badiya hai. Yeh ek AC kamra hai (Split AC ke sath) jismein 2 section metal almirah hai (alag-alag darwaze ke sath) (Inbuilt locks aur khud ki lock ke liye slot hai), ek table aur do chair. Bathroom bahut bada aur saaf hai. Kamre ke andar platform pe hone ke karan, train announcement ka awaaz bahut tez aur clear sunai deta hai (Jo raat bhar rehe jane ke durghatna ke liye samasya ho sakti hai). Iske alawa, doosra lock bhi uplabdh hai aur aap khud ki lock bhi laga sakte hai. Saaf-safai lagbhag 9 AM ke aaspas hoti hai. PF1 par canteen retiring room ke bahut pass hai.

Yo, check this out! Let me tell you what went down when I was about to fly high in first class, man. When I was booking my ticket, I got super pumped when they asked me about my seat preference. I happily chose a coupe, thinking I was in for a fancy ride. But when I actually got on the train, damn, it was a whole different story, bro. The coach I was in, FC1, was actually a crummy old sleeper coach from 1997 that they just converted into a 2x2 chair car. Talk about a bait and switch, bro! First of all, the seats were a joke. No tables attached to them, and only 4 charging points in the whole coach, all near the doors. And get this, the seats had these levers that were supposed to adjust the reclining angle, but man, they were just for show! Didn't move an inch. Can you believe that? And get this, the price for this fake first class is even more expensive than the AC chair car, which is actually more legit and cheaper. Like, what a ripoff, right? I swear, the second-class seating in the Karnavati LHB 2S is way more comfortable than this phony first class. And for just Rs 180, you can travel between Ahmedabad and Mumbai, man, no joke. Thank goodness I didn't end up in a regular old compartment that they try to pass off as first class, like they do on the Bandra Surat Intercity. At least they could change the seat preference options to reflect the actual reality, you know? I mean, what the heck is our beloved Indian railways thinking when they pull off stunts like this? It's mind-boggling, bro.
