** Actually it didn't go to KCG. in 2005/06 budget it was proposed to be extended to KCG from NZB, but settled down at SC. If I remember correctly, extension to SC was from 28-10-2005. It was the same day 12710/12709 Simhapuri had it's inaugural run.
** Interestingly in 2005-06 budget, 12625/12626 Kerala Express was proposed to be extended to Chandigarh.

For a short time in the 90's, this was operating as 1003/04 KCG-CSTM express via VKB, PRLI, PBN. This was short-lived though, and after the GC was completed till NED, it was diverted to terminate at NED.

** 1003/04 Devgiri Exp was started as a train between Mumbai CST and Aurangabad by cancelling the overnight CSTM-Bhusaval Passenger. As the conversion of the Manmad-Kacheguda line progressed, the train was extended to Jalna, then Parbhani. Since the line through Parli-Vaijnath was converted to BG earlier, the train ran right up to Kacheguda from CSTM. However, when the other branch from Parbhani was converted, the run was curtailed, and diverted to Purna, and finally to Nanded. Recently, further progress in conversion has allowed the train to ply between CSTM and Nizamabad.
