How are reting rooms at Raja ki Mandi? Are they clean and can any one share some latest status or any picture/photo if available?
Hi Any one has relevant information to share? I have a train early morning and AGC retiring rooms are full. So checking if Raja Ki Mandi Retiring rooms are good/safe for family?
I had stayed at the Retiring Room at Raja ki Mandi. There are only 2 rooms in pathetic conditions.
Not suitable for family. They are actually situated at platform. Noisy with passing trains honking 24/7.
Monkey nuisance all the time. It took 20 odd minutes to get into the room after a runaround between station master and the room attendant even after holding a valid online booking and that to at 3 AM in the night.
I...
more... suspect some illegal practices which can not be mentioned here. The rooms are in bad condition with dirty bed linen. Not at all suitable for even a single night stay.
For Veg lovers:
"Chokho Jeeman, a Marwari Jain restaurant" which is at Left side on Lane to Main Road from Station exit on platform no. 2 (5 minutes Walking Distance) is worth trying.
One can get Pure Veg Jain Thali at Rs110, 120 and 140. and for children its Rs80. No limit for Chapati, Daal Rice, Paneer, Bhaji etc, served in Marwari style.
Note:...
more... NO sharing of Thali, each member has to take its own. and Opens only at Evening time(7 pm onward)
Its very reasonable, one cant resist to praise it. Very clean and Simple food unlike spice food at hotels.
For Non Veg Lovers:
Just in Front of Chokho jeeman or at Right Side of Lane to Main Road from station exit at platform no 2. (5min walk), there are many hotels Specifically famous for Spicy Non Veg foods.
Please mention pf too bcoz Exit from Raja ki Mandi available in many directions
I too visited this restaurant 3 years ago. I never forget the taste. A very neat and home like atmosphere.
yes its one of the finest restaurant one can get in this cost. Best is its simplicity in food. Village type environment with Marwari style, and many times they play marwari touch songs
Chokho Jeeman = Good Food = अच्छा खाना

Great tip. Very useful, especially with the tariff for comparison purposes.
Thanks.
This serves the Tourists' purpose.
Similar info for other stations very much needed, and particularly for those which are 'Activated Booking Online'
Very good piece of information.
Sorry Sir, I beg to differ. These tariffs will soon render the valuable piece of info. in the hotel name outdated as these are bound to change very frequently; there is, in fact, season-to-season change in most places. So, it would be better to just list property names, that too its better if only state-owned properties are mentioned here, else private hoteliers will hijack our space and create havoc as anyone can post tips.
Hotel rooms and tariff details are very useful to travelers. Even if room charges are modified, these serve as a benchmark. Members with personal experience are welcome to list private properties also, as there are hundreds of cities where state owned hotels are non-existent.
Sooner or lateo each and every piece of information changes. But atleast the rates speak of certain basic standards. For example if the room rate is 2000/- 2500/- per day, I'll safely assume that it is a good budget hotel and not the type of one star or five star. Regarding rates, they are not expected to double it within no time. Even if the increase it by 10%, it is OK.
Yes, hotel names and room rates, both are useful.
