So people can travel from Ballari, Hosapete, Koppal, Gadag, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi to Pandharpur (on daily basis) by this train without need of changing train at Miraj.
Yes. It will be round about. In other routes, there will be many transfer points like Guntakal / Solapur / Kurduvadi or Gadag / Solapur / Kurduvadi

Mostly left. (I am not sure which direction as it had been more than 6 years since I have travelled in this route) But one can see river and dam from train itself that is sure.
Its to the right side of moving direction if train is moving from Miraj side to Belagavi side..
Then it will be on left side while travelling from Belagavi side to Miraj side.
This station is strategically located. There is a circle 550 meters away from railway station. From this circle regular buses and private vehicles (like trax, van etc.) are available to taluk headquarters like Gokak (16 km), Hukkeri (18 km) & Chikkodi (34 km) and town like Sankeshwara (31 km). Some private vehicles are available just outside railway station. Some private vehicles are available to Gokak falls (10 km). Hence Ghataprabha connects 3 taluk headquarters Gokak, Hukkeri & Chikkodi of Belagavi district.
