It is the base station to visit Shri Anandpur Trust ashram of Advait mat and during vaisakhi and diwali atleast 10 lakh visitors come every year and some special trains are put in service.

11701/11702 Indore - Jabalpur Intercity not yet without any reason railway is showing cancelled until next information. It's a cheating with the passengers. If railway has decide not to run this train again then why they are not declearing. I guess because they have to answer to the public and railway officers are avoiding it. If train is running in losses then change it's timing and run again like Indore- Rewa intercity. If 11701/11702 Indore - Jabalpur Intercity will also run overnite then it will be most successful train of this route becouse Jabalpur is having only superfast train to indore is overnite express that to always full. So i think railway officials should find the ways to run the train successfully not to find the way to sneeze facilities from the passengers.

This station is a favorite evening walking place of the town especially by elderly people. The station is situated right in the middle of the town and there is no proper park developed by the Municipality.
